Studied violoncello in Dresden, Karlsruhe and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis [with Christophe Coin] as well as musicology at the Dresden University of Technology.
Performs in Europe, Asia, North and South America. In the past years he made his debuts at internationally significant festivals like in Adelaide/Australia.
Lectures, congresses, courses: history and performing practise of 17th century string instruments.
In 1997 he discovered a violone by Peregrino Zanetto built at the End of the 16th century. Currently he is preparing his doctoral thesis at the Dresden University of Technology.
